About Us
The firm of Salmon, Lewis & Weldon, P.L.C. ("SLW") was formed in 1995 by six attorneys who had spent most of their careers at Jennings, Strouss & Salmon, P.L.C. Since that time, the firm has grown to a total of fourteen attorneys.
In addition, SLW was formed on the basic principles of performing high quality legal work and providing tireless service to our clients at reasonable cost. Since its inception, SLW has been successful in maintaining long-lasting relationships with a wide variety of clients such as the Salt River Project, San Carlos Irrigation and Drainage District, Maricopa County Municipal Water Conservation District Number One, Roosevelt Water Conservation District, Central Arizona Irrigation and Drainage District, Electrical District No. 2 of Pinal County, the participants in the Navajo Generating Station, and the Cities of Scottsdale, Tempe, Yuma, and Lake Havasu City. Even prior to forming the firm, the founding members had an excellent reputation in the Phoenix legal community.
The initial focus of the firm's practice was on natural resources and environmental law, commercial litigation, and insurance coverage and defense. Our practice has, however, grown steadily and broadened over the years. In addition to the aforementioned practice areas, SLW's experienced attorneys have particular expertise in municipal law, labor relations, environmental regulation, real estate, and commercial transactions.
SLW's philosophy is premised upon developing long-term relationships with excellent clients with whom we work to further their interests. Although SLW has some clients with which we work on a project-by-project basis, the focus of the firm's client basis is made up of long-time clients for whom we do most or all of their legal work.
